College Librarian (Newtown College) 

Join our Library Services team and play a key role in enhancing the learner experience. As part of a small and supportive library team, you will lead and develop innovative, learner-focused library services that support teaching, learning and student success.

About the role: To assist the Head of Library Services in the planning and organisation of library services and to take responsibility for the daily operations of NPTC Group of College Newtown Library.  Promoting information literacy, digital capability and access to high-quality learning resources. Working collaboratively with curriculum and support teams to enhance the learner experience across the College, including support for services at Brecon Library.

Scale 6, Points 29 – 31, £35,590 - £37,390 per annum, 37 hours per week (including evening work and occasional early mornings and weekends).

Contract: Permanent, full-time.

About you: Our ideal candidate will have a Level 6 qualification in Library and Information Management and have relevant experience. You should also hold level 2 qualifications in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) and be IT literate equivalent to level 3 including experience of using MS Office applications and MS Teams. Experience of academic research using printed and online information sources is essential.
