Job Title: Yard Supervisor

We are seeking a proactive and organised Yard Supervisor to manage the day-to-day operations of the yard, with a strong hands-on approach.

The role involves actively overseeing and supporting the loading of trailers, checking loads for accuracy, stability, and compliance with company and transport requirements, and coordinating vehicle movements within the yard.

You will work closely with forklift truck operators, allocating and prioritising workloads, stepping in to assist where required, and ensuring tasks are completed safely and to schedule. The Yard Supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping, leading by example to keep the yard clean, tidy, and well organised.

A key requirement of the role is the ability to safely manoeuvre articulated vehicles around the yard, including positioning lorries and trailers for loading and unloading, while maintaining full awareness of pedestrians, equipment, and site constraints.

The role carries responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment through visible, hands-on leadership, enforcing health and safety procedures, carrying out regular checks, and addressing hazards immediately.

This position suits someone who is comfortable being on the ground, directly involved in daily operations, and setting standards through practical involvement and clear communication.

Hours 7am- 4:30pm
