IT Support Assistant

Carpenter & Paterson Ltd was established in the UK in 1956 and has developed into one of the World’s largest manufacturers of Pipe Suspension Equipment with manufacturing facilities in the UK, Thailand and India.

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person with a strong passion for technology, an eagerness for learning and developing their skills, and an interest in IT Support. Reporting to the IT Manager based at our Welshpool manufacturing facility.

This position offers a competitive reward package and will be a full-time role for the successful candidate.

The key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Provide IT support within a Microsoft 365 and Windows environment.
• Maintain our in-house applications – Training will be provided.
• Collaborate with the IT Manager on IT projects.

The following would be preferable but not essential:

• Experience using Server 2022, SQL Server 2022, and Veeam Backup and Replication.
• Experience in Crystal Reports and MRP software.
• Ability to manage and diagnose Network, Hardware, and Wireless systems.
• A keen interest in learning and developing skills.
• Some coding experience, including C#, Delphi Pascal, and SQL.
