Job title: HGV Driver

Main purpose of job:  

As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for driving a variety of waste and recycling vehicles including, arctic, skip, hook lift and curtain sider HGVs to meet business demands. You will complete pre-planned routes to ensure the safe collection of waste and recyclables within the catchment area for the business.

Position reports to: Transport Manager

Location: Welshpool

Working hours: 8-12 hours per day - Monday to Friday 40-60 hours

Competitive pay rate: £14.08. Must have Class 1 licence and extensive HGV driving experience, such as hook-lift. Earning potential of £40-45k.

Main tasks of job:

·        Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers

·        Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per company procedures

·        Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily

·        Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads

·        Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up

·        To operate and drive company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, whilst meeting all legislative and company standards

·        Any other reasonable task as directed by Manager.

Licences, registrations and qualifications: Class 1 HGV Licence, up to date CPC / Digi card.
