Ysgol Gymraeg Y Trallwng has landed one of the top prizes at the National Urdd Eisteddfod which has been held on Anglesey over half term.
The school won ‘Theatrical Performance – Outstanding achievement!’ for its drama that was based on ‘neurodivergence’ and the importance of accepting all children and recognising there is a reason for all behaviours.
The judges described it as an “exceptional performance” full of clever and unique touches, excellent choreography, and linguistic skills. The school was praised for sharing a timely topic in a sensitive and ingenious way.
“As a school we are so proud of all involved and thank all involved for their dedication, hard work and passion throughout the Eisteddfod season. Winning at National level is no mean feat but has put Welshpool on the map!” said head teacher, Angharad Davies.
