Former Conservative Montgomeryshire MP, Craig Williams, has been charged with betting offences by the Gambling Commission.
He and 13 other people are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates on 13 June.
It followed an investigation made into bets placed on the timing of the 2024 General Election by then Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
The Commission announced last year it was looking into individuals who were suspected of using confidential information to place the bets and to gain unfair advantage in the betting markets.
Mr Williams was a close aide to Rishi Sunak.
