Major emergency response to Welshpool fire

There has been a major overnight response to a fire in a building on Severn Farm Industrial Estate.

One of our readers sent in these images at around 11pm last night, and drone footage posted online from ‘From Above – Drone Photography’ shows thick smoke coming from a building.

They added that the airport was closed due to the time to allow their drone to go up, and another reader said that they heard a “loud bang” from that direction at about 10pm.

We have contacted Mid and West Wales Fire & Rescue as well as Dyfed-Powys Police for information.
