Investigation opens following tragedy at local company

Dyfed-Powys Police, in partnership with the Health and Safety Executive, are investigating a tragic sudden death at the Wynnstay (Agricultural Supplies) Ltd depot in Llansantffraid.

The company has confirmed that one of their drivers “was involved in a tragic fatality on Monday” with police adding that emergency services were called to the scene just after 6.20am where a male had sadly passed away.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious, but enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing,” a police spokesperson said. “We ask that the family's privacy is respected as the investigation continues.”

In a statement, the company said: “We can confirm that one of Wynnstay’s drivers was involved in a tragic fatality on Monday, January 6. Since then, we have been working with the police and others to provide all the assistance we can.

“We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. It is an extremely difficult time for all involved.”
