Several groups and charities working in the Welshpool area are among those celebrating in north Powys after being awarded a share of £444,984 of National Lottery funding.
Seven projects have been awarded money from the National Lottery Community Fund. They include Cultivate Cyfngedig, £337,326; Egniad Cymru Cyf, £9,989; Men Shed Newtown, £20,000; Newtown Food Surplus, £19,166; Sawna Dyfi Ltd, £20,000; Seiclo Dyfi Cycle, £18,500; The Honeypot Children's Charity, £20,000.
Montgomeryshire's Senedd Member, Russell George, said: "Delighted to see that groups in Montgomeryshire have been awarded a very substantial amount of funding by the National Lottery Community Fund. This funding will provide a huge boost to some of the brilliant grassroots projects in our community.
"I look forward to seeing the huge benefits that this funding will bring not just to the groups receiving the funding, but the wider community they serve.’’
