Santa Claus is coming to town (and villages!)

November is going to be a busy month for Santa Claus with an extensive local tour of towns and villages in the area confirmed to raise funds for a Welshpool-based charity.

Hokey Pokey Hedgehog Rescue has saved and re-released plenty of stricken hedgehogs since it was launched last year, and funds from the ninth Santa Run will go towards providing vital support.

The 2024 Santa Run gets into gear on Thursday, with Montgomery, Churchstoke, Sarn, Kerry, Abermule and Forden set to be visited by Santa and his helpers.

Organiser Heather Chave, who also runs the rescue, said that updated routes will be provided on the dedicated Facebook page two days before each visit.

“Please let everyone know about us and hopefully the weather will be kind and we don’t get rained off, but any we can’t do, we will try to redo at the end," she said.
