Fresh new look for adoption service

Adoption Mid and West Wales has introduced a new visual identity for the regional adoption service covering Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Powys.

The service works to find safe, loving and permanent homes for children who cannot live with their birth families, while providing support to adopted people, adoptive families and birth families throughout the adoption journey.

The new visual identity reflects the connections at the heart of adoption. Drawing on themes of belonging, support and togetherness, it represents the people whose lives are touched by adoption and the relationships that help children thrive.

It also reflects the partnership between Carmarthenshire County Council, Ceredigion County Council, Pembrokeshire County Council and Powys County Council, which together form Adoption Mid and West Wales under the National Adoption Service.

While the visual identity has changed, the service’s purpose remains the same. Adoption Mid and West Wales continues to provide high-quality, child-centred support, working with families across the region to find safe, stable and loving homes for children.

Councillor Sandra Davies, Powys County Council's Cabinet Member for Future Generations said: “This new visual identity reflects what adoption is all about, creating lasting connections and giving children the opportunity to grow up in safe, loving and supportive families.

“While the look of the service has evolved, its commitment to children, adopters and families across Powys and the wider region remains as strong as ever. I hope this fresh identity and new website will encourage more people to find out about adoption and consider the life-changing difference they could make to a child.”

Adoption Mid and West Wales continues to encourage more people to consider adoption. Many people already have the qualities needed to provide a loving and stable home for a child, and support is available throughout every stage of the adoption journey.

Alongside the new visual identity, Adoption Mid and West Wales has launched a new website, providing information about adoption, the support available and how to take the first step towards becoming an adopter.
