16/04/2025 @ 08:08

Early bird tickets have gone on sale for the Llanfyllin Music Festival which is being held over the weekends of July 5-6 and July 12-13.

The annual Festival has released a world-class line-up of international music from Handel to Shostakovich.

For the first weekend, there’s the illustrious string quartet, the Creswick Quartet, and the vibrant wind group, the Ensemble Renard, who have both visited the event several times before.

But new to local audiences are the Early Music group, the Ensemble Hesperi, and the innovative trio, Pelléas Ensemble, who will play on the second weekend.

An innovation this year is a Sunday afternoon concert, with a combined ticket for both concerts that day.

The full line-up with all concerts set for St Myllin’s Church, Llanfyllin

5th July: 7.30 pm Creswick Quartet and Ensemble Renard joint concert
A unique opportunity to hear the incomparable string quartet, the Creswick, with the talented young wind players from the Renard. They will be playing Vivaldi’s Concerto for Oboe, Bassoon, Strings and Continuo, and Mozart’s Horn and Clarinet Quintets.
