A project that is asking Welshpool walkers to share their trails so that they can become established and help to promote the area is being launched.
A drop-in on Sunday is aiming to delve into local knowledge can to improve pathways and routes so that more opportunities to get out and enjoy our countryside can be established.
“Come along to our drop-in session Welshpool to tell us all about your favourite local walks as part of our Paths to Prosperity project with Powys County Council,” said a spokesperson for Ramblers Cymru who are leading the Paths to Prosperity project.
“We will be happy to welcome you for a cuppa and a chat as we seek to establish new walks to promote in the area, and will have maps to hand for you to talk us through them.”
The drop-in is taking place at the COWSHACC in Welshpool from 10am-3pm, but if you can’t make it, email RamblersCymru@ramblers.org.uk with paths you would to see developed locally.
The project is receiving Levelling Up funding from the UK Government.
