A Montgomery-based concreting company has been recognised nationally after securing second place at the 2025 Golden Trowel Awards.
Concrete Solutions, which specialises in pattern-imprinted concrete installations across Mid Wales and Shropshire, was awarded second place in the Domestic Projects category at this year’s awards, organised by PICS UK.
The Golden Trowel Awards are held annually to recognise excellence in pattern-imprinted concrete across the UK. Contractors from around the country submit projects to be judged on workmanship, creativity, finish, and overall technical execution.
Founded in 2021 by James Evans and James Simister, Concrete Solutions has built a strong local reputation for creating decorative driveways, patios and outdoor surfaces for commercial and domestic properties.
James said: “We’re incredibly proud to represent contractors in Mid Wales at a national level. To come second in such a competitive field means a great deal to us and reflects the hard work our team puts into every project. We’re grateful for the support we receive from our clients, team and partners across Mid Wales who help us to continuously design and lay high-quality patterned concrete.”
Concrete Solutions focuses on pattern-imprinted concrete, a decorative technique that replicates the appearance of stone, brick or paving while providing the durability and low maintenance of concrete. The company works on residential and commercial projects across the region.
The recognition highlights the quality of skilled trades operating in the Welshpool area and demonstrates how local businesses are competing successfully on a national stage.
