Costa Coffee has told MyWelshpool that they expect to open their new branch on the outskirts of the town “late Spring”.
The international coffee house chain is opening four new branches across Wales as part of a £1.5million investment, with its new Welshpool branch on the Buttington Roundabout development taking shape.
“We’ll be planning to open the store late Spring 2026, and due to hire around 15 new baristas to support this,” a spokesperson told us.
Meanwhile, the chain’s latest store has opened in Newport, south Wales, with others taking shape in Wrexham and Rhyl.
Following the rollout, Costa Coffee will operate 110 stores across Wales.
The Buttington Roundabout development already includes a McDonald’s, KFC and Starbucks with Costa Coffee expected to be the final piece of the retail jigsaw, for now.
