An ancient pub that is still a central part of the town’s night scene is celebrating the 30th anniversary since it reopened.
The Angel was reopened by local businessman Craig Humphreys on March 22, 1995, and is celebrating with a major party that is open to all this Saturday night.
Two bands are performing live - Helium Believers and Built4Comfort – with DJ Spence on the decks.
The business is undergoing a major renovation that will double its size, and this weekend visitors have the chance to have a first glimpse of the new games room which is fitted out with two dart boards and a pool table.
There will also be a food truck on site with special birthday shots and cocktails to celebrate.
