Vix is ‘living my dream’ after awards recognition

A Welshpool-based photographer is focusing on a major national award after being included on a prestigious shortlist.

Vix Davis is the owner of Pix by Vix which has been announced as a regional finalist in the The Wedding Industry Awards 2025’s photography category.

“I cannot believe I have been selected and the awards process is so important because it’s voted for by couples who’s weddings I have had the honour of capturing over the last 12 months,” said Vix.

“The award goes by their feedback and experience which is so important and I feel so honoured to be given this opportunity to potentially win such a prestigious award.”

The first step on the road to National glory will be a triumph at the Regional Awards event in November. Here, the companies that have received the best feedback from their clients and have caught the eye of the expert Judging Panel will be crowned Regional Winner in November, before progressing to the National Finals in January 2025.

Vix travels around Wales and the UK capturing some incredible weddings that include lots of laughter, dancing and even a private plane, and she’s hoping to end the year on a high.

“Winning this award would be such an incredible thing for me, going full time in a photography business during the pandemic hasn’t been easy but it’s been incredible,” she said.

“I am living my dream capturing incredible couples and creating photographs that will be treasured forever is so important to me.”
