Tackling the stigma of vaping

A Welshpool business says it is easing Welshpool off its nicotine addiction after announcing a new initiative that will tackle the issue of vape recycling.

Isaac Richards has expanded his once market stall businesses into premises on Severn Street, and has this month signed an agreement with the Green Wings Project to allow customers to safely dispose of their used vapes at his shop.

“We have two drop off bins available in store, and once nearly full the company sends out a box for the vapes to go in until the company picks them up and takes them away to be recycled,” he said.

Vaping has become one of the lead social talking points of recent times, with arguments for and against, and Isaac said that he is “helping people around the area beat their cigarette addiction”.

“I started off in the market hall in September 2022 and slowly grew my customer base to finally get into a shop last February, and we continue to grow bigger across Mid Wales,” he said.

“We pride ourselves on our team’s customer service, and this initiative gives everyone in the area the opportunity to dispose of their vapes in the correct way.
