Rovers close in on title
Waterloo Rovers are one win away from securing the Honda Division One title following a dramatic night of action in the amateur leagues.
A 3-2 win at Llanfair Reserves means Rovers are five points clear of long time leaders Meifod with just two matches remaining.
Guilsfield Reserves continue to struggle at the other end of the table following a 2-0 reverse at home to Morda United.
In Mitsubishi Division Two, the chase for the second promotion spot behind Bishop’s Castle is in Trewern United’s hands after a 5-0 win pulled them level on points with Maesyrhandir but with a far superior goal difference.
Newtown Wanderers still have an outside chance but their hopes were dented following a 3-1 defeat at Kerry Reserves.
