Pool celebrating at last

12/02/2017 @ 08:40

There were celebrations at The Maesydre yesterday as Welshpool Town won only their second home game in the Spar Mid Wales League this season.

Pool continued their battle to break clear of the relegation places by beating Bow Street with goals from Ricky Litchfield and Will Pritchard, though they are still rooted next to bottom of the table.

Berriew missed a chance to go top when drawing 1-1 against close rivals Carno as leaders Rhayader dropped three points in a 1-0 home defeat to Aberaeron.

Llanfair crashed 4-0 at Buckley in the Huws Gray Alliance while Guilsfield looked on course for a 1-0 win at Penrhyncoch until the Roosters netted in injury time.
