Nick Jones, Justin Williams, Dean Bowen and Vince Owen combined to score a fine medal score of 30.8 to win Welshpool Golf Club’s Great Pork Pie Texas Scramble event on Saturday - with the course reduced to nine holes.
Second with a very good score of 31.3 was the team of Mark Bell, Simon Roberts, Gareth Ashley and Chris Hughes and third with a score of 33.were Dale Hardy, Steve Proctor, Mark Williams and John Owen.
For the seniors, Mel Buxton (18) scored an excellent 42 points to win Tuesday's captain's choice. John Wood (23) was second with 41 points and in-form Will Cooke (20) was third with 40 points.
On Thursday, Alun Evans (13) triumphed in a bogey match with +2, beating Graham Hughes (16) into 2nd place with +1. Paul Marshall (28) was 3rd also with +1.
