Urgent appeal over missing young farmer

An urgent appeal has been made over social media after a local 19-year-old farmer has not been seen since last night at the Royal Welsh Show.

There is growing concern for James Corfield (pictured), who is also a superb cricketer with his home town Montgomery, and friends have posted an appeal through the Montgomeryshire YFC Facebook page which has already been shared hundreds of times this afternoon.

It reads: “JAMES CORFIELD has not been seen at Royal Welsh since last night. The police have been informed. If anyone has had any sight of him or spoken to him at all in the last 24 hours please call his Mum on 07740 202254.”

A Dyfed Powys Police spokesperson said: “I can confirm we’ve received a report, but at this stage enquiries are ongoing and it’s not appropriate for us to comment any further.”
