Flower Festival at Chapel

21/06/2017 @ 07:27

Pentre Llifior Methodist Chapel is holding a flower festival on July 8-9 in support of WaterAid – an organisation committed to improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene for some of the world’s poorest people.

The various displays will interpret the theme “The Voice of Creation” and visitors are welcome to view floral depictions at their leisure. Opening times are 10.30am-4.40pm on the Saturday and 10.30am-1.30pm on the Sunday.

The Chapel’s regular “Bacon Buddies” will be the refreshments on offer on Saturday until midday after which, homemade cakes and drinks will be available throughout the remainder of the opening times.

“Entry to the Flower Festival is free,” said Mandy Thomas, Chapel Treasurer: “But any donations received will be passed on to the charity WaterAid so we hope that as many people as possible will be encouraged to visit us.

“Those calling in on Sunday will also be most welcome to join us for worship which commences at 2.30pm, when the preacher will be Rev. Bill Rowell from Welshpool.”

The Chapel site, located between Berriew and Bettws, offers both car parking and toilet facilities (suitable for disabled access).

Further details on the services and the event can be obtained from their Facebook page – Pentre Llifior Methodist Chapel - or from Anthea on 01686 651079.
