Election for town and county council

Welshpool Town Council and Powys County Council will hold elections in December for a vacant seat caused by the death of long serving Councillor Ann Holloway.

Councillor Holloway passed away last month, having served on Powys County Council since its inception.

An election for her seat on the Town Council’s Castle Ward and her seat on the County Council’s Llanerchydol Ward will take place on Thursday, December 15.

Nomination papers for both seats are available from the Returning Officer at County Hall, Llandrindod on 01597 826002 and must be returned by 4pm on November 18, 2016.
