Choir’s 15-year celebration

03/07/2017 @ 06:09

Quindici, the acclaimed chamber choir, celebrate 15 years of music making with a concert in Berriew Church on Saturday, July 15 at 7.30PM.

The choir were formed 15 years ago, and as there were originally 15 singers, the name Quindici was chosen – being the number 15 in Italian. Hence the concert is entitled ‘15 at 15’, and it is appropriately being held on the 15th!

The concert will be raising awareness and money for the charity Rekindle, Small Steps, which helps young people with mental health issues.

The choir’s Musical Director, Suzanne Edwards, said: “The choir are really pleased to be helping this very worthwhile charity by means of a birthday concert.

“Over the years we’ve helped many local and national charities, and it’s a really big part of what we do.

“We hope people will come and help us celebrate our birthday as well as supporting Rekindle and the wonderful work they do.”

Tickets are £15 which includes a glass of ‘fizz’ and strawberries, and they are available from Christine Cookson – 01686 640244, Jenny Thomas – 01686 951515 or Suzanne Edwards – 07970 955718.

Quindici are also running a competition to win two tickets to the concert. Simply email quindici.chamberchoir@yahoo.co.uk giving your name and contact details for a chance to win.
