We’re into double figures now for our 30 days of fitness and our friends at Great Fitness have told us that while many of us want one, the advice is not to chase one… we are talking six-packs.

Of course, in an ideal world the majority of people want sculpted, toned abs. They are very much achievable as everybody has them, and it is body fat that is the key to uncovering them.

As much as core and abdominal exercises do strengthen these stomach muscles, a huge part, possibly the most important part, is to maintain a good, consistent healthy diet.

Great Fitness say they cannot stress enough how important a person’s diet is alongside exercise.

Also, commonly in a gym environment, you see people constantly focusing on sit up after sit up. Try to add in big compound movements such as deadlifts, rack pulls and squats, which will help strengthen the core and burn that excessive, body fat.
