Welsh star in town

Wales and Wolves midfielder David Edwards spent his day off in Welshpool before catching up with the national team.

Edwards was watching his son at the club’s Juniors Festival a day after scoring for his side at Fulham and the day before he links up with Bale, Ramsey and Co. ahead of this weekend’s crucial World Cup qualifier in Ireland.

He took time to chat with the kids and had his picture taken with local rising star Paris Schofield.

The festival involved 30 Under 7 and 8 teams from the area. The star’s father was originally from Welshpool and his son was playing in one of the sides.
