Carnival day set for May 29

There’s been fresh life breathed into the Welshpool Carnival in recent years, with organisers promising another bigger and better event for the town on Monday, May 29.

The committee has announced that the theme this year will be ‘Movies’ with participants encouraged to turn up in fancy dress as well as to take part in the procession.

The fun will begin from Berriew Street Car Park at 1pm and head through the town to the Carnival Field at Maesydre where a host activities will keep the family busy all afternoon.
